What kept y'all motivated to work harder throughout the year?

If I tried to check FB as a short break I always ended up on it for multiple hours reading up on what I missed out on whilst studying. Yeah, I pretty much had no self control...

Lol i had fb/msn/an running most nights on my computer which just sat on my desk. Yeah it can be a distraction, but if you get your hw and study done then you dont have to worry ;)
Tis a skill you have to master.

I was on facebook/AN for like 6 hours a day everyday without fail during VCE and still did aight. Learn to multitask well and life in general becomes better :P

The desire to beat my sister and be the dux of my school kept me going throughout the entire swotvac period. (Literally slept for 2 hours per day cramming it up during swotvac)

Best feeling in the world when I found out that beat my sister AND at the same time, get the dux by a margin of 0.05 (yes my sis got the same ATAR as the 2nd highest score in my school) Freaking trolled them so bad lolol.

I'm confused as to how you studying incredibly hard and being incredulously motivated = trolling your sister and whoever else you "trolled so bad"? Or maybe I'm missing something.
