You don't have to know about the tertiary structure of DNA.

You don't have to know about the tertiary structure of DNA.

What spongebob-7 referred to is the secondary structure though

Indeed, I was just pointing out a useless fact :P I think Choong might have read the question incorrectly though because hydrogen bonding between Z groups occurs in the tertiary structure of polypeptides rather than DNA.

The tertiary structure of DNA is actually when DNA bonds with histones to form a histone group, and it's a form of ionic bonding.

4 carbon environments, 5 hydrogen environments.

I thought so... Lisachem 2008 said 4 H environments though so I guess they're wrong...

Can someone please help me with this question, it's from lisachem learning materials review questions

6.5L of oxygen is required to completely convert 1.0L of gaseous hydrocarbon fuel to carbon dioxide and water. If the volumes were measured at the same temperature and pressure the hydrocarbon would be:
A. CH4
B. C2H6
C. C4H10
D. C6H6

the answer is C

thanks :)

Okay, so first of all, remember the gas equation; pv = nrt. Now in this case, t,p,r are all constants, so in other words v is preportional to n. therefore, you need 6.5 mol of Oxygen to completely combust this hydrocarbon

So you have
2 C(x)H(y) + 13O2 ---------> (2x)CO2 + (y)H20

If you equate the coefficents, 4x + y = 26, and you can see that C is the answer
