ANU Enrolment 2012 + O'Week ...
(1/1)
weasleyisourking:
So I've gotten the score to get into my course (hopefully!) but I'm just highly confused as to how its all going to pan out once I pack up life as I know it in Melbourne and move to Canberra in 2012 ...
Can some ANU students help me out? I've been trolling the ANU website but I just can't find the information I need ...
1) When does O'Week start? Is it organised individually by the residential colleges or is just throwing all the first-years in together? Do you do things in the day time or is it just night-time drinking sessions (lol)? :)
2) How exactly do I enrol? On the 18th of Feb apparently offers come out - do I just log onto UAC? Do they email me? I have heard that they send you an enrolment pack in the mail ... so do I officially 'accept' by writing or by email?
3) Do I accept residential offers by email?
4) When do I have to be in Canberra by? (Is it generally by Day 1 of O'Week?)
Sorry for all this ... I just don't know who else to ask! I know no-one who goes to ANU and I'm just really confused (plus the parentals are on my case about booking flights up)
Thankyou!!! :) :) :)

I also have a few questions that I wish could be answered if possible.
I just got an email saying that I got offered a place in the Bachelor of Philosophy and in that email they mentioned a camp running from the 17th-19th. Does this clash with the O'Week mentioned above as I have read that "O-Week runs in February in the week before semester starts."?
Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

Yeah, it means you miss the end of O-Week. Don't worry, if you're at college you'll have done plenty of socialising by that point and be mostly partied out, so you'll welcome a trip down to the beach.

PhB Camp was great last year, definitely don't regret going on it instead of end of O-week stuff. Hell, I'm probably going again this year as a later year student (:

1. Colleges organise it the week before uni starts, and it's both day and night.
2. Do it via ISIS - you'll get instructions later.
3. Yep. Make sure you keep checking!
4. I would recommend getting up a day or two before the official start of O-week, just to settle in. :)
