DipLang- French

Just a question about starting points for the DipLang for French particularly...apparently this year you can only start on Level 3, however I did the test last year (unfortunately my home faculty had some mishaps with accepting the dip) and they placed me in level 8/9 depending on the semester.   I kind of don't want to start at level 3...is there -any- way around this?  Or is it something I'm just going to have to accept D:

If you got a 50 for French you're gonna be bored out of your mind in level 3. That's freakin ridiculous. VCE graduates used to be sorted into level 5 by default and even that I found exceedingly easy (for German at least - and I only got 38)

According to this, Philip Anderson runs the French program now, so shoot him an email and explain your situation [email protected]. He's a bit eccentric but is as nice as his photo looks :P
