This subject has 3 lectures with no repeats so I guess the only times available for those lectures are 11-12 every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

Then how is it possible to have a practical session from 10-1 on Monday, Wednesday or Friday? Unless you don't attend lectures?

Most likely the other streams have yet to be finalised. I think timetabling doesn't open till end of month?

Edit: whoops, didn't realise this was chemistry for biomed. See posts below :)

What do you mean the other streams? And yea timetabling is in 3 days but I thought everything
would have been finalised by now. It says:

With subjects like that with a large cohort, the handbook timetable isn't really that reliable. You'll find that on Monday it should be resolved. After that it may even be altered or tweaked once numbers have been finalised. They would never put a prac to clash with a lecture EVER.

That just basically means that they have updated something within the entire handbook. It doesn't necessarily mean that they had altered the timetable for Chemistry 2 timetable specifically. Final doesn't mean final, things will change.

Nope, there will not be other streams for CHEM10006.  If you are in one of those pracs then you are most likely screwed.    I suggest you get in quick on Monday morning so you don't get stuck in one of those.  There is a small chance that they may fix it, because it is a massive screw up on their part, but if there are no other times where the labs and lab staff are available then you are stuck with it.

The same thing happened to us last year.  Half the cohort had to skip their Physics for Biomed lectures so they could go to their Bio prac every fortnight.

This is one of the shit things about biomed.  Your timetable will suck.

Oh wow... Sorry I automatically assumed BSci. As i know from past experiences we never had clashes between lectures and pracs.

Yeah I'm making a Biomed timetable for someone now. It's crazy! You have the compulsory 8-12 every mon, wed, fri morning with a 10-11 break for your 3 core subjects. Then you have bunch of these random huge 2/3 hr pracs and you think you get tuesday and thursday off but then you have a breadth which makes you come in on tuesdays and thursdays!
