I'm not sure where bachelor of science will lead me...so i would like to see where you might be headed, or see yourself heading in the future. Thus: do you have any plans for a major yet? Any hopes of dream job? Or perhaps, do you want a job in a field that is NOT science related?

I've had an epiphany that i want to be a marketing/ art director..or something like that...and no clue whether science can lead there :P lol...but, hey, i can hope?

i like the life sciences, namely, microbiology, physiology and human structure and function...but there's not much i can do with those except go into health sciences in the future...

How about you?

Hi!!!! =D

I will be completing a Neuroscience major in 3rd Year. After my degree, I intend on applying and hopefully getting into a postgraduate Medicine course. I've experimented alot with breadths in the past  to see if there  has been any other potential pathways that I would like to pursue (ie Music, Marketing, Management). Now that I'm in third year I still am passionate about the Life Sciences and I really do enjoy it. I hope that by the end of this year, all my hard work will pay off and I'll be where I want to be =)

Third year for me this year, major is anatomy (human structure and function). Right now I'm quite set on life sciences in the future, and hope to successfully apply to postgraduate medicine next year as well :)

The plan is to do a Civil Systems major and then do a Master of Civil Engineering.

Then one day I will make a bridge and you will all use it and you will all thank me.

Of course. You have 6 breadth subjects at your disposal. Complete a marketing breadth track.

I'm a computer science student now, do I count? I want to enter computational geospatial science. Gonna major at Monash in Geology, 'cause apparently I can do that.

Medicine after, but if not I would probably be thinking about engineering.

Possible majors I'm considering areeee

Physics
Chemistry
Biochemistry & Molecular Biology
Cell and Developmental Biology
Genetics
Neuroscience
Pharmacology
Human Structure and Function
Microbiology, Infection and Immunology
Pathology
Physiology

And then after either MD, JD or MEng... Wouldn't rule out research though.

yeahhh.... I'm pretty indecisive

I'm looking at a major in Mechanical Systems, and then a Masters in Mechanical Engineering.

That is, if I can figure out how to use this subject selection thing...

The plan is to do a Civil Systems major and then do a Master of Civil Engineering.

...I will one day design a car and you will all drive it over SDPHD's bridge and praise the ride quality and maybe thank me too :P

Good thing about BSc is that you can have a lot of variety in your subjects, and can have a "taste" of a wide variety of fields.

For example in my second year I did one or more subjects in biochemistry and molecular biology, pharmacology, anatomy, physiology and pathology. Could've easily done microbiology and immunology instead of a second physiology subject. Covered physics and chemistry in my first year, and I'm doing neuroscience in my first semester of third year.

Bsc Graduates will change the world :)

IF they know what they want to do! BSc grads without a clue will just waste a valuable spot in uni for someone with a direction, me thinks! :(
