As those who have begun their study plans for biomed will know, there are two pathways you can chose; Standard or Bioengenineering systems Major.
INTENDING TO TAKE A BIOENGINEERING
SYSTEMS MAJOR?
In that case, you must select ENGR10003 Engineering Systems Design
2, MAST10006 Calculus 2 and MAST10007 Linear Algebra (or both
MAST10008 Accelerated Mathematics 1 and MAST10009 Accelerated
Mathematics 2, depending on your mathematical background) in first
year. These subjects are taken instead of Experimental Design & Data
Analysis and Physics. Please note that you can still decide to take a
major in a different area of study if you wish and not be disadvantaged;
however, in order to complete the Bioengineering Systems Major you
MUST take the prescribed first-year units.
I'm tempted to take this if only because it means we get to avoid Experimental Design & Data Analysis (which I have heard is absolute shit). I have no intention of taking Bioengenineering systems Major now, but I'm not sure whether I wanna lock myself out of the option.
Any advice? What has everyone else gone with?
EDIT:
Trying to select the normal pathway I get this message
Sorry, but there are no selections available for BBMED-STNDPATH - 1st Year Standard Pathway Ver 1.
Why can't I chose the standard pathway? I don't get this problem when I try and plan the other pathway. Does it mean that it has
already filled up?
