Breadth Question

taking this subject as an example https://handbook.unimelb.edu.au/view/2012/SCRN20011

under where it says: "This subject potentially can be taken as a breadth subject component for the following courses"

If Bachelor of Arts isnt listed does that mean that you can't take it.

( I know this sounds incredibly stupid, but I'm just hoping there is some sort of loophole)

Every breadth option i seem to go into has not listed the BA. Are breadths offered in the BA or what, im having the same problem as i would like to choose my breadth in Politics and International Studies. So confused about how many subjects to pick, how many credit points are required and which subjects must be done etc...
2011:

Psychology [45], Legal Studies [42], English [43], History Revolutions [34], International Studies [33 :(]

2011 ATAR- 93.80

This subject IS an arts subject. That's why you cannot do it as breadth. It's like how a science student cannot do a science subject as their breadth.

To put simply, yes you can do this subject, but don't enroll in it under your breadth slot.

edit: wait I'm wrong, it seems to be pre-new gen degrees only so that probably means you can't do it...hopefully someone can confirm.

As far as I can see, it's offered under the screen and culture major (which is a reinvention of the  old Cinema Studies major?). Which is part of the new gen BA. So yes, you can do it as part of your Bachelor of Arts or if you're not completing a BA, you can take it as breadth.

However it is a level 2 subject. I think they recommend you take level 1 subjects in your first year.
The dreams that you dare to dream really do come true.
