I think I need to do Chem 2 for a pre-req for Vet Science, but I didn't do Chem in VCE. D:

It says I'll have to achieve at a "high level" to be able to move form Fundamentals -> Chem 2, but what is considered a high level?

Thanks guys. :)

The threshold when I did Fundamentals of Chemistry was 80+ (I just checked my emails). In my opinion, as long as you keep up with the work, it's quite do-able to get a good score in the subject because it really does start from the basics.

Ok, so I have to get about 80% to be able to do Chem 2 in my 2nd semester? :)

That's what I was told when I did it (2010), you can always e-mail the coordinator and ask them. But yeah if nothing has changed, it'll be an 80+. If not you have to do Chemistry 1 in semester 2 and Chemistry 2 over summer, but as long as you work hard, I'm sure you'll be fine :)

I went to ask a chem lecturer at melb uni the other day, he said average around 75, but i'd say consistent H1s give you a pretty much guaranteed entry.

Ahh it might have changed since I did it then, I know with mine it was just a high level in only Fundamentals of Chemistry and not anything else.
