Haha, its such a relief that they are finally over! :D
And yeah, I was happy with the difficulty of this exam too!
Now to wait a month and a half for our official results :(

Yeah, while I think I've done really well, I'm going to suffer all these worries and doubts for 5-6 weeks. :/

There is nothing you can do now to change the outcome of your result, so try not to worry.

Yeah I know. I read somewhere that doubting yourself after an exam is actually the body's way of instinctively preparing yourself for potential failure, which makes absolute sense. :)

I really wonder how you're gonna manage next year if you have this much trouble with 1 damn subject, it's 16.7% of your VCE for god's sake, like sure, worry about it before the exam, but why do you even give a damn now.

To get places in life, you need to know how to let the past be and just look towards the future, it's not like you don't have better things than to think about Further results.

Yeah last year with Lit I 'knew' as soon as I'd come out that I'd bombed it and was seriously expecting a B+  so I couldn't even bring myself to care about that and instead set my sites on dominating year 12. Saved myself a lot of unnecessary worrying given that I ended up not getting a B+. The next month should be taken to relax or set yourself up for next year, don't spend too much time worrying about what's in the past! (: This is especially important given the number of bad SACs you might go through next year - you need to be able to focus on what's coming up, despite past disappointment.

Not that you have any reason to be disappointed Stick, I'm sure that you got full marks on both exams, if you've checked your answers and they indicate as such.

You've got a point, but why do you care so much? If he worries, that's his stuff, let him worry.

I just don't get you Stick. Everyone on this forum knows that there's a higher likelihood that 2 Chainz has a successful rap career than of you not getting a 50.

Nah, there's actually a very specific reason why I care, it's not really that big of an issue, but PM me and I'll explain why :P

It's just the way my brain has been wired, unfortunately. It's frustrating because I know all my concerns are irrational, yet I still have them. I'm so thankful to have amazing friends that put up with so much of my crap when you really don't have to and I hope that in the future your help will allow me to push through my anxiety problems naturally and I will not have to resort to more drastic means.

Don't worry too much.. Last year I had to do Accounting Unit 4 exam in the morning, followed by Spech exam 2.. I was still thinking about my answers to accounting during spech.. Luckily my hand knew what was happening and it was solving math while my brain was thinking about bloody ledger accounts. Some how managed to finish the exam 45 mins early O.o

Funny experience though..

Stick,

I think I'm in the complete same position as you..just finished Further and not entirely sure how to feel about the looming results.

But what I can say is this; I came out of Exam 1 devastation and furious at myself for making 3 or 4 carless errors, but I used it as motivation for today's exam and I'm fairly confident I only let slip 2 marks. After the exam my teacher asked me how I was doing and if feeling about the nervous wait for results and how they'll compare with my crazy high expectations. The one thing that he said to me that made me feel a lot calmer, was this..

You have brains in your head.
You have feet in your shoes
You can steer yourself
any direction you choose

I guess what I'm trying to say is pretty much on the same page as everyone else - don't stress about the results, you can't change them now, but the amount of time and effort you've put into Further this year has been recognised by so many people on this site, and we all know you'll be just fine!
If you think you can, you can. If you think you can't, you can't.

I must say though, while I still worry quite a lot, Further has helped me deal with it throughout the year and I'm getting so much better. I mean, I thought I might throw up going into the exams, when I was actually less nervous than I was compared to the SACs. After I get these results and have consolidated my first VCE exam experience, I don't see why I couldn't be "normal" throughout Year 12. Yeah, you heard that right. Normal. That's how much better I feel now compared to the start of the year. I do hope I can get through next year without medication and without SEAS - even though it will be tough for everyone around me, as well as myself, I'm determined to do it on my own.

Taking medication isn't "abnormal". Having an illness isn't "abnormal".

That's an archaic perception.

Food for thought.
