As a science student who is likely to consider entering back into marketing or management post grad, my plan was to gain work experience before applying for Melbourne Business School.

What has always struck me is why UOM possesses two separate schools for commerce? I understand that the Melbourne Business School (MBS) only provides the MBA, and master in Marketing, but the Graduate School of Business and Economics (GSBE) does offer a Master in Marketing and similar managerial masters. Is it something to do with the school ownerships or something technical like that? Or is it simply that GSBE is designed specifically for undergrads from Commerce? Or are the courses actually quite different?

Thank you :)
