No, you'll be fine. The concepts in Units 1 and 2 are repeated again in the Units 3/4 textbooks anyhow. I know friends who didn't do Units 1 and 2, and they ended up with 40+ scores. If anything, just read the first few chapters of your school's prescribed textbook - to get an idea of the subject.

Download some of the notes on AN and go through them. I would suggest you do the holiday homework, because that is most likely going to be based upon whtat they will start first at school.
Read the textbook, and maybe buy the NEAP studyguide (as I've heard it is better than the checkpoints) for extra revision throughout the year.
