Hey guys!

Here's a roll call for anyone doing music performance this year (2012). Lets hear about how much you love/hate this subject, your aims this year and why you're doing music perf.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask and I'll do my best to answer.

Good luck with your musical endeavours!  :D

I'm doing music group performance this year :) I was originally going to do solo but realised the pieces i had to play for piano were about Grade 7-8 standard and i'm only doing Grade 5 this year so i changed it to group performance.
So far so good but im worry that i will not get through all the pieces :S any tips? And theory wise, is it hard?
Lastly, where do you get the music sheets from?

Going group is an awesome choice, I'm doing group this year for Unit 3&4 and last year I was in my friends group for his examination. Having more than one member during the end of year performance is really comforting. The performance is put out to be stressful and scary, you know how they explain that three judges will be examining you and that they can't show any emotion. But surprisingly it wasn't as frightful, it's just a small room with three regular dudes, just see it as that. Also work on your precision and staying in time with your band; practice your heart out. Importantly as well work on your stage presence, try to show emotion while playing it will really show your a confident musician to the judges.
