NMR - How are the peaks produced?

Hi all,
I'm having trouble understanding how exactly those peaks are produced, I understand the general theory of spin-states and applying an external magnetic field to cause re-alignment, but can't connect that to the graphs...

Any help is appreciated!

When they change their spin-state back to the lower energy level they emit the energy they absorbed, which appears as a peak on the graph
