Can someone help me understand RMIT's draft time tables?

I've got no idea how to read it, or how uni works in general (like how many lectures a week per subject?)

I do understand that the time tabling system hasn't opened, but I'm curious as to how people "pre-make" them so they're ready on the day
Right now I'm confused with two things

Do I have to go to both those lectures or do I get to choose one?

and

How does time tabling of classes like that work? Do I get any control in anything?

Please if someone could help me with anything at all, I'm a wide-eyed freshman  :D

I think when your enrolled subjects course timetabling opens you find a space that doesn't clash with any. So if those two subjects were yours then you get to choose a day for your convenience.
These are only the drafts, which gives you an idea of the days available so it's easier when actually timetabling.
