so i remember them saying at AAD not to buy textbooks for the first few weeks to see if we actually enjoy the classes we are doing, and to spend the first few weeks trying out classes. so does this mean we are allowed to attend lectures for classes we are not enrolled in? and how are we to know when these lectures are on?

Attendance is not recorded in lectures so yes, you can attend any lecture you want.

Search the subject up in the Handbook and click 'View Timetable".
