Hey guys
Well my topic is "No person should be allowed to continue with a gambling addiction when steps can be taken locally and nationally to prevent families suffering emotional and financial stress? Do you agree"

Well, i do agree but i'm kind of stuck on what to write about it.

Hey VOBRO,

Well, I'm a current year 12 so my opinion or views might not be very important to you but I thought that I would offer you a few words of advice. I did my oral presentation on the Victorian Dog Laws and I got 20/20.

Firstly, in my opinion, you need to sit down and brain storm a bunch of possible ideas/arguments that support your contention. Then, you need to select your strongest few and develop them further to use in your oral. If you are in a cohort where many people are doing your topic, it will be very difficult to score highly if you present the same generic arguments everyone else will undoubtedly have. For that reason, you need to look at the topic from a different angle to everyone else and present an interesting and deeply intellectual speech. Coupled with good presentation and public speaking skills, you will do very well.

That, in my opinion is one way to stand out from the norm and really blow your assessors out of the water. Look for social parallels that are relevant to your topic and make sure you do a lot of research.

Let me know if you have any other questions :)
Aspiring doctor. Why? For the same four reasons as everybody else. Chicks, money, power and chicks.
