Hey guys :)

So I didn't do 1/2 Eng (I did 3/4 lit) and I've got my first sac coming up soon, and just wanna practise some context pieces...our text is The Rugmaker..
I did one last week, and didn't draw on other examples, so it was far too text response-y, i need to move to the bigger picture..
So I'm planning to do another,
and I just need to find some examples??
So far I can think of the current conflict in Syria (slightly related to what happened/is happening in Afghanistan in Rugmaker...)

If you guys know of any other good ones, or just want a discussion about it, that would be really great (and it could help others in the same situation who read this)

Thankyou :D

My two prompts are 'Conflict is the main mechanism for human evolution'
and the 2011 vcaa prompt: 'the ability to compromise is important in any situation of conflict'

for the first one I may chuck in a bit about the french revoltuion (evolution of society etc) as Im doing Revs :p

maybe a bit about Syria/Egypt for the second?
