is attendance marked at Japanese beginner lectures?

I just got the worst freaking timetable ever. I've never gotten anything less than my first preferences before and now thanks to one of my subjects changing its times like 10 times and then again at the last minute - my whole timetable sucks majorly.

Just wondering if attendance is marked for Japanese lectures (and seminars as well???) because I really do NOT want to go to a 5pm lecture arghghhh. I'd go to the earlier time though.

Attendance was marked in lectures when I did it. It's a different lecturer now though, so you never know.

I did it first sem last year and it was marked. Not sure if it actually matters though because I stopped going and wasn't penalised as far as I know.
