if we fail an assignment do we fail the subject?

if an assignment is worth 25% and you fail it, but pass the other assignments worth 50% and 25% (literally get a P) do you pass the subject? 

This may seem logical but i just want someone else to tell me so i can be sure

It depends on whether passing the assignment was a hurdle requirement and on what your scores were for the other assignments, % wise. As long as your final weighted score is over 50% you pass.

its not a hurdle requirement, does that mean if you pass the 50% worth assignment you pass?

Nooo...if you got 50% on an assignment worth 50% that would mean the total amount contributed to your score would be 25%.
So you would need another 25% to make 50% overall. Do you get me?

yes i figured that out, i'm just so stressed out its playing with my brain , i can't believe they've made every single assignment so difficult given its a first sem level 1 subject!!!!!
