Calculus Practicals - Can you miss them?

Essentially the title.

Somethings popped up and I really need to work on Monday, more for my employers sake than mine (and a friends neck is on the line too if I can't cover this shift)... how important would the first calculus lecture and practical be?

I went to maybe 3 (max) calculus 1 tutes. I also went to only a few lectures. First year was hectic for me (for outside of uni reasons).

I still managed alright though.

Depends what you are like at maths. If you think you need help, then tutes are useful.

Id it's anything like calc 2, you won't be missing much. Probably just methods stuff.

It's not a tute, it's a practical.

Isn't there a difference?

But nonetheless you guys are really allaying my fears about missing it. I just was a bit concerned because if it was anything like a CHEMISTRY prac (which go for 3 hours as opposed to 1 for Calculus) then it would've been a big deal.

A few more words of confirmation would be nice, especially in reference to it being a prac and not a tute...

From what I understand, maths "pracs" aren't anything like pracs for other subjects like chemistry and physics, and are actually much more like tutes - I'm not entirely sure why they're called pracs at all.

Calc tute:

walk in, get in group of 3-4 and answer questions from sheet onto whiteboard together. The only benefit of going would be for tute sheet solutions but you can get the the actual question on lms...then the solutions off mates.
