To borrow books from the library do we have to sign up or do we just present our student ID?

With the student union membership, since we are automatically signed up, do we receive some sort of card? Also what benefits and privileges come as part of this?

Your ID card can be used as a photocopy card, library card and access card to after hour study halls. Depending on your course, you will have different access levels to different buildings around the university. Ie) I cannot enter the Engineering building after hours to study but my friend who is doing BEng Can.

In the past, you usually just get a sticker that you stick on your ID card. Since it is now compulsory for everyone I don't see why it would be necessary anymore. Go onto the student melbourne university union website and there should be a list of benefits. Just google that.

Hope this helps!
