Is this intro alright?

'illusions have the power to conceal reality but can never erase it.'.                                Sometimes we are forced to conceal the ugly truth with our illusions in order to see the world in a brighter light. However, the true nature of reality can not be kept in the dark forver, as reality is ultimately fixed and confirmed by others around us. Illusions, dreams and fantasies mask the things we refuse to see, while what others see still exist. Unless we can live up to our illusions, they don't belong in the 'real world'. Furthermore, our constructed facades are destructive as it is will inevitably be exposed by others as time progresses. Reality can not disappear simply because we want it to.          What would you mark it out of ten? :D are my ideas clear? Is there any oomph? Does my 3rd sentence make sense/relate to the prompt?

I am less concerned with how good this intro is and more concerned with what you actually expecting to write in this essay other than just generalisations about the prompt, and an over-reliance on Streetcar as a source of evidence. IMO this is the kind of prompt where you pretty much have to write imaginative for top marks, because it is so difficult to convincingly explore the ideas relating to the prompt otherwise.

So instead of expending an excruciatingly pointless amount of effort on obtaining a 'perfect' introduction, how about actually figuring out/planning out whether you are going to be able to write a whole essay on this topic, and deciding what your main points are going to be, eh?
