Hey Guys, when drawing graphs in further (eg: scatterplots) how do you set out the axes? If the IV starts at say 50 do you draw in that zig-zag on the axis or just start at 50 then go up by whatever.

Hope that makes sense :/

My teacher said don't worry about the zig-zag line, just start at a value, then space it out evenly.

The x value is always the IV yeah?
Im pretty sure you just start at a value, and the zig zag is only for the y axis. Well that's what i've been taught

As long as you include all given data, it will not matter if you do not start at x=0. The zig-zag line you mention on the x-axis is not essential UNLESS you then show a y-axis at x=0 rather than at or near your lowest non-zero x-value.

you go to menu, view, window settings.
then on the box u have ymin y max, xmin, xmax etc just change them to fit your desires
