Year of Wonders - Symbols?

Hey guys. So I have a SAC next week, it's a sociogram oral presentation on Year of Wonders. But I'm having trouble coming up with meaningful symbols to represent the characters with, any help will be appreciated. The symbols cannot be something which is obvious for example a Bible for Mompellion but something which goes into the characters more deeper.

I was thinking about doing a lion for Mompellion as this represents Mompellion's courage and strength (lions are considered the king of the jungle because of their strength) but lions are also predators (which could represent Mompellion going against his own beliefs, committing the sin, going against God etc).

Also has anyone on here actually done a sociogram before? If so, what tips can you give me.

Thanks.

I see Mompellian as an iron bar: something that can hurt if wielded unwisely; something that won't bend unless subject to the greatest torment (the white hot fire) yet something that can defend with endurance...

But I like your lion idea.
I think, I speak, I act. Therefore... I create my own reality.
