SO THE PRAC IS LIKE.
sticking NaOH in SO2 then titrate with I2?
what type of reaction is this and whats suppose to happen ><"

The NaOH is just added to convert the particles into ones which can participate in the titration.

In the reaction with iodine, sulfur dioxide gas is released

there was something about the SO2 have free' something and 'fixed' something and how its a reversible reaction,can someone explain to be how this prac works >< and THANK YOU FOR THE ANSWERS!

judging by the reply, perhaps the NaOH "Frees" the SO2 from a "fixed" molecular state? Or a different molecule overall? is there any other information given?

heyy thanks for the reply. when i saw the actual question it was talking about so2 having a fixed and free state in wine and stuff, it wasnt necessary info anyways hehe :)
