Mid-Year Transfer to UoM Science

Hey!

I'm currently doing a Bachelor of Science at Monash, but I'm hoping to transfer to UoM Science at the end of the semester (mainly so I can do HPSC subjects as breath :P). I received an ATAR of 91.10 so I'm beyond clearly-in for 2012. I was just wondering if the selection for mid-year is based solely of ATAR, or do your uni mark make a difference (and how big of a difference it would make if I got a P or C rather than a D)?

I went to Monash in the first place to satisfy prerequisites for UoM in case anyone was wondering haha.

Midyear selection is more heavily geared towards your ATAR scores  :). So you're definitely good over there.
WHY U LEAVE MONASH THOUGH  :'(? That's sad bro, Monash is a good university. Whatever happens, good luck for the midyear application.

ATAR does play a role in mid-year transfers. But you'll still need decent uni marks. Check this link out

I don't know if it plays a 'major' role but it is definitely considered for mid-year transfers. The unis look at your past academic record. Not having had a year of uni completed, they do look at your ATAR (I think that's how it works)

I still think you'll need something like a 70% average or higher to trans into Engi, from what I'm finding

How would you know if Monash Science is any better or worse, given that you do not go to Monash?

You are already enrolled at UoM BSc and Mumbai MBBS.
Dont you think that adding Monash Engineering to that list might stretch you a tiny bit next semester ?

Thats your problem.
How about just having ONE plan and actually WORK at it.
Too many plans are dangerous.

I agree, I'll see how everything pans out right now i'm waiting for an offer to see if i get mbbs overseas if i do i'll have a good hard think of whether or not to study there. If i don't get the offer i will either continue Science and do Masters of Eng or apply for mid year entry into bachelor of eng at monash. I get my offer letter on 10th of april. Thats why i'm thinking about all this. Once it comes to that date it should be pretty clear for me from then on. I know if i didn't get med overseas after writing the entrance exam there no use trying to get in australia since competition is even or just as harder. So i don't mind weather i go into med or eng both are very good fields but of course i prefer med over eng any day LOL.
