What factors determine the quanta of energy released when an electron moves from the excited state to the ground state?
My answers are

1. the amount of energy depends on the number of protons in the nucleus and the strength of the attractive force between the nucleus and each electron.
2.the energy transitions that have occurred as the electrons move to higher energy levels

Are these correct or are there others?

help please:D

what about:

number of electrons ?

type of metal?  since different metal ions emit different amounts of energy?
