I have a SAC tomorrow and I need some clarification with sig figs.

So do you round to the lowest sig fig that appeared in the question OR the lowest sig fig that you USED in your actual calculations?

Whats appeared on the question, if the answer requires multiple steps significant figures are not required until final answer.

This is incorrect. You round to the least number you've actually used. For example, if something in a question is to 2 figures, but you only use data which is to 3 figures, you round to 3 figures.
