Other courses at UoM have by far much fewer places right?

Commerce has nearly as much

But it's because those are the two main streams for the University of Melbourne :P

Very funny Paul :p

Actually, I'm pretty sure Arts is the most popular undergraduate course at UoM. One of the largest enrolments for a single course in the state, iirc.
University of Melbourne - Bachelor of Arts majoring in English, Economics and International Studies (2013 onwards)

I think Arts and Science together make up something like four fifths of the intake of undergraduates at UoM, but yeah Arts is the most popular course.

Ummm, I wasn't trying to be funny!

From VTAC selection data

UoM Arts - 1843 places
UoM Science - 2048 places
UoM Commerce - 824 places
UoM Environments - 562 places
UoM Biomedicine - 444 places

Everything else - Negligible really

Science, Science, Arts

Environments applies also to architecture and social environments too, and Arts is the liberal arts, which are completely different to Music.

Paul, I honestly hadn't realised that there were so many Science students at UoM. I guess it makes sense though, most people who study Biomed and Environments are seeking to do postgrad, and even that number is compromised by people who go to Monash to study Architecture/Med/whatever as undergrad.
