Hey guys,

Quick question, do I need to know how to draw the ring structures of monosaccharides glucose, fructose and galactose off by heart? I read on the study design I need to know the condensation reaction that forms the disaccharides but I don't know if that translates to having to know the structural formulas or not.

THANK YOU!

Wellll the structural formula for sucrose is in the data booklet, so if you know how sucrose is produced, then you wont even *need* to memorise the structural formulas for glucose and fructose :D

And I wouldn't worry about galactose :)
