Failed an Assesment

It was due April 5th and I got my dates mixed up and thought it was April 16th.

So yeah I haven't done it and just realised it was due 3 days ago.

It is it worth even handing in or do I just accept a fail, it's worth 20% of an AF subject

Is there like a hand in late policy for melbourne uni, where you get deducted 10% per day for late submission. Best to try and contact your lecturer asap, but then it's Easter so I don't think you can do much until tuesday...

Most universities will let you hand in stuff late. I know at monash it varies between 2,5,10 (very rare)% per day penalty.

That isn't your mark - 10%. So if you score 80% its not 80% - 10% = 70% . It's  80% - (10% of 80%) = 72% ect. If you get 70% its 70% - (10% of 70%) = 63% . Obviously that only works if your penalty is 10%, if its less, then its obviously less. Almost all universities and faculties will let you hand in stuff late.

Consult your unit guide/faculty website.

For my philosphy tute if you don't hand in your assessment you lose 10% for each day it's late. After like 3-4 days you just automatically fail the assessment.

You need to check your faculty's policy on late submission, and do the assignment asap if you can still get any marks at all for it.
