There's plenty of imagery and metaphor, from my now vague memory I will start you off with just two:

The apple tree in the centre of the road, which the book opens with.
Anna's taming of Anteros symbolises her emancipation.

Read the text closely and I'm sure you'll find many other examples. Sorry that this thread went unanswered for a while :)
