How do you study more effectively.

I hear people say all the time that uni is not about studying harder, but studying more efficiently.
Any strategies or tips on how to study efficiently?

I am pretty sure it is study more effectively, not efficiently.

Manage your time effectively, spend time on different topics, etc, etc...

dilks:
Active learning versus passive learning; Elaborative Rehearsal > Maintanence Rehearsal; connecting new concepts to what you already know; all that stuff.

What would ineffective study be, by the way? Just wondering.
