How do you study more effectively.
aes_999:
^ When you try to study, but it doesn't happen :).
WHY? Because of facebook, sms / phone friends, DOTA 2 / Starcraft / sleep / other consoles / etc etc. Or too much Nintendo 64.

cram cram cram cram cram cram cram when it comes times for assessment =d

Prepare early but don't cram, cramming is a good way to forget not remember and that's a fact. dilks's advice making use of psychology terms now I really like that :). So yeah dilks's advice will help to, believe me elaborative rehearsal is a good way to remember unlike cramming.

If you are visual like some of us, make mind maps! They worked so well for me this semester, I even took a picture of them on my phone so I dont waste my train rides on looking at my feet. I'm doing science so this really did it for me.
Otherwise form study groups, and get each of your study group member to revise over a specific topic in your course then each person has to go through the material , in depth, whilst the rest of you ask questions or make notes on what to focus on etc etc.. so we spend more time researching every topic, and instead clarify it with a person who spent more time on one topic.. This is what my study group did, its quite efficient/effective. :)
Also cut the internet so you can study with the computer or you'll procrastinate by posting on threads...-.-'

Actually, that's the mots efficient type of studying. Though not the most effective.
