AppleThief:
GOOD
- Macmillan English language units 3 and 4: student CD-ROM. (Mulder et al)
- Mastering advanced English language. 2nd ed. (Thorne), except only parts of it are relevant to the course so use it in conjunction with Macmillan
- I'm guessing Living Lingo is also good, as it is partly written by Kate Burridge (who is a well-known linguist, and also contributed to the Macmillan)

BAD
Heinemann English language: VCE Units 3 and 4. (Taunt et al)

lol so I currently own the bad one :(
I agree with you though, my 1/2 macmillan is better than heinemann 3/4

Do you know where i can purchase the macmillan 3/4 as it is out of print?

ive also heard living lingo is good, we are going to see a Kate Burridge lecture at Monash some time soon

edit: oh and i also found this insight book, do u know if its any good?

so far i am planning on getting living lingo, insight, macmillan

Gloamglozer:
If you are studying English Language, Living Lingo is excellent.  I'm using at school right now and it is specifically written with great depth* to focus on Australian English.

It was first published this year so all the material in it is new and relevant.  I would definitely recommend buying the book.

*=Comparing with the other books out there.
