Is anyone finding the consecutive chapters of those bivariate data and stuff annyoing =.=
And not to say i had 2 sacs and an analysis takss on it .    :idiot2:
I don't find it useful and it seems off topic compared to the methods coursework.  :tickedoff: :tickedoff: :tickedoff:
Very turned off on standard genral now!
anyone else agree?

Yes, it is very tedious.  Not to mention if you're using the TI-89 or similar, when you contruct a scatterplot with many points, don't forget to check that you've entered to the right numbers.  The most painful thing is when you realise you've entered one wrong number with 5 minutes to go in a SAC...

Yeah, i 've had the same experience. I had scatter plots, probably my least fav.out of any type of graph.
Even worse is when you make a mistake, You have to go all the way back and fix it. Pain in the arse, if you ask me.

Do they have heaps of questions related to 1 set of data in exam? Or does the exam even require entering long sets of data?

The exam will never get you to enter long bits of data because examiners know that if you can do it for a few numbers, you know the concept and how to apply it.  This also applies to residual plots as well because I remember doing a practice paper with a similar question.  The question will usually ask you to plot one of the residuals and the rest is done for you.

Also, in the time of the exam, examiners try their best to examine you on as much of the course as they can and they don't want to be wasting time testing you whether or not you can plug numbers into your calculator so this discourages them from getting students to enter crunch lots of numbers in Stats/List (or an equivalent program).

LOL, I hate Bivariate data! It all seems so boring and repetitive and somewhat time consuming compared to methods.. I depended solely on my TI-nspire for that chapter haha

Personally, I think General Standard Maths is a subject in which you can surely achieve 50/50. You get to take your textbook or another bound reference + graphics calculator in the internal (Year 11) and external (Year 12) exams. Plus, other than bivariate date, chapters such as linear equations/graphs/modelling, matrices are heaps easy :) That's just my opinion.
