Intermolecular-> forces between the molecules
Eg:Dispersion forces
Intramolecular->forces within the molecules
Eg:Covalent Bonding

Intramolecular forces are always stronger than Intermolecular forces.

Intermolecular-> forces between the molecules
Eg:Hydrogen Bonding

Be careful, hydrogen bonding can also be intramolecular, eg. in tertiary structures of nearly all proteins :)

Intramolecular forces are those which hold a molecule together. In the case of something like NaF it's the ionic bond created by sodium donating its outer shell electron to fluorine. In the case of H2O, hydrogen and oxygen share their lone outer shell electrons in a covalent bond.

Intermolecular forces exist between molecules. Water (liquid) is made up of several H2O molecules which are closely linked together by hydrogen bonds, an intermolecular force. In order to convert water to a gas, steam, these bonds must be broken so that the H2O molecules can separate.
