Do we start doing practice exams now?

Hi,

Just wondering when is the right time to start doing practice exams for the psychology Unit 3 exam? What's a reasonable target to aim for (i.e. how many should we do a day?)

Should we be aiming to complete a few during the school week as well, or just on weekends?

Thanks in advance:)

Depends: Have you finished the course yet?

Aim to start doing practice exams at least a month before the exam (definitely finish the course first). A study skills session we had recommended at least six and if you're aiming 40+ at least 15. It's different for every person though - some people do over 50.

Lol over 50 is a waste of time in my opinion, if you are getting at least 90% in your practice exams and are doing 50 then you are just paranoid. I'm planing to do around 10-15 for Psychology, after I've finished learning the course..

First of all try and aim as high as possible in terms of score, not number of exams. Keep doing them until you get closer and closer to getting 100% (I realize this isn't possible in psych, but you get what I mean). As long as you're experiencing improvements in marks over time, you should keep persisting with trial exams.

vce: english, methods, spesh, chemistry, physics, geography.

Thanks...

for ecvkcuf - no I haven't finished the course yet - we still have one more chapter on memory to cover unfortunately..

Should I be aiming to do some during the school week (keeping in mind the busy timetable) or just weekends?

Before you start doing FULL practice exams, I'd recommend having knowledge of all the course content that will be examined.
However, revision of what you've learnt in Unit 3 so far will be beneficial so when you do start practice exams, that old information will be fresh in your brain :)
Bleh.
