how do u solve a quadratic with a scientific calculator?

e.g. 5t^2 - 18t - 6.5 = 0

solve for t?

Two options;

- Use the quadratic formula and then put your answer from that into the calculator and convert to decimal

- Use an alternate method to find the answer, such that you don't end up with a quadratic

Do it  by hand :P Scientific calc aint gonna help much.

If you got this by doing a motion question, you must be overlooking something as they ALWAYS make it so you don't have to use quadratics.

ty both lol didnt think of quadratic formula but this is a question out of some physics revision booklet and the suggested answers told me to solve with quadratic lol i was thinking that vcaa wouldnt put a question like this either
