So not having much time left, which other exams are at or close to this level that you would recommend as prep?
NEAP 2010, Lisachem 2011
2010: Business Management [47]
2011: English [44]   |   Chemistry [45]  |   Methods [44]   |   Specialist [42]   |   MUEP Chemistry [5.0]   |   ATAR: 99.60
UMAT: 69 | 56 | 82 | = [69 / 98th Percentile]
2012: MBBS I @ Monash

I lost 15 marks Between MC's and first SA question... :buck2:
but only dropped 2 marks from then onwards.
Lokking back was challenging but doable, made mnay a stupid error, should really have only lost about 4/5 marks.

BTW, qu 1 MC, do we actually need to know how to answer that, because we were never told about electrical conductivity with acids and bases.

Ignore Q1 MC, it was horribly worded.

What was wrong in the wording of Q1?

I didn't think it was badly worded, it was just a unit 1/2 concept (I think) that I totally forgot everything about :P Both Q1 MCQ AND Q1 of SA haha

Nah just the fact that it said something like "produces the conjugate base with the highest electrical conductivity when it ionises in water." I wasn't sure whether it was referring to the conjugate base "NO3-" and "Cl-" and the question didn't make sense if it were the other way around, because if you dissolve Cl- into water, it would have a high electrical conductivity anyway, irrespective of whether it ionises or not, because it's already charged. That's all.

cheers...would you happen to know a method in which I could procure said papers? (Technically I'm allowed to have them, as my school has purchased both, but they just handed out folders full of a random assortment of practice papers, and it was luck of the draw. The only lisachem I got was '09, and Neap '08 and '09. Other kids at my school got these.)
I won the GAT: 49/50/50.

71/78 :(, 3 marks lost on MC, 1 on SA with ninhydrin crap, and didn't have time to draw three fucking nucleotides!

Could someone help me out with MC Q1? Solutions aren't overly helpful.

The Bronsted-Lowry acid-base conjugates for the following species were isolated and dissolved in pure water. Which of these would produce the conjugate base with greatest electrical conductivity when it ionised in water?
A. HCl
B. HNO3
C. CH3COOH
D. NaOH

How was the answer derived to be C.?

Sorry to revive the thread, but in case you still want to do this exam, there is a link in this thread to a medialink folder.

Dropped 10 marks overall...drawing a deoxyribotrinucleotide for 3 marks...looooool
