Can we bring two scientific calcs into exam?

Exam's on tues, probs just won't change them lol

Bhootnike:
sometimes, well at my school im pretty sure, they had a table at the front with a box of spare batteries and some spare calcs our school supplied in case someone in methods spec or further had their CAS go flat.
So hopefully in physics/chem, they do the same by having a bunch of spare calcs!

cibicl:
Nah only allowed one - like others said change your batteries nowish, too make sure its unlikely to run out!
I'm pretty sure the vcaa people have spare calculators. Last year in my methods exam my calculator started screwing up, and I asked and surprisingly they had a few at the front
Goodluck :)

charmanderp:
Get on of those solar powered scientific calculators and sit next to a window. Problem solved.

So long as it's not a cloudy day and there is in fact a seat near a window and the sun just so happens to shine through the window during the time of your exam.

Thushan? ...ok why do you have two accounts lol?

They don't have to, VCAA doesn't have to do anything, if your calc breaks down, that's entirely your fault for lack of preparation. I know someone who had their pen die and they had to have a 5 minute discussion with the examiners just to get a new one (they had to call VCAA head office first).

I believe its Thushan using his student's account with his student's permission, lol

Also, I know someone who owns a TI-XB and while he changed the batteries, the screen sort of disconnected from the hardware, and sometimes, nothing appears on the screen until you knock the calculator a couple of times. So yeah, take care while doing that; and change it a few days before, not the day before.

Ahh mine does exactly that! sometimes i have to just hit it really hard to get it to work, lets hope it doesnt happen in the exam tomorrow...
