When can conclusions be made?

Hey everyone :)

I was just wondering when conclusions and/ or generalizations can be made?

I thought that conclusions can always be made, but generalizations can only be made if p values are significant, research design is acceptable, no extraneous variables etc. But now I'm not too sure if that is right? Any ideas?

i think thats right
a conclusion is just what the experiment you are doing shows
generalisations can be made only if theres a large sample, and the rest of the stuff you said

so id say the same thing
