What reagent could be used in the reaction of chloroethane to ethanol.
Is it KOH and OH-?

Question: Can you use NaOH in this reaction
Also can you use H2O

I'm pretty sure you could use either KOH or NaOH, but just write OH- to make life easier. No you can't use H2O. You use water in the reaction of an alkene to an alkanol, but not a cholroalkane to an alkanol.
