Simple motion question

A cyclist, Anna, is travelling at a constant speed of 12m/s when she passes a stationary bus. The bus starts moving just as Anna passes, and it accelerates uniformly at 1.5m/s^2. How long does it take for the bus to catch Anna, and what distance has been travelled?

I was able to work it out using a table, but I was wondering if there was a better way of solving it. :)

Distance traveled = Area under the velocity- time graph.

For the cyclist, it is linear thus distance = Velocity * Time
For the bus, it is a linear acceleration thus distance = 0.5*Accel.* Time * Time

so, giving t = 16 seconds, and distance traveled 192m
