Throughout the year my cohort has had extremely difficult SAC's. The standard is fairly low and the recent LA we did everyone came out complaining of how difficult it was. I'm curious, how does the system work? Will we be disadvantaged over schools who receive fairly easy SAC's? Sorry, i don't know much about the system  :-[

It depends how the cohort is, if the cohort performs well in VCAA exams, then your SAC scores will stay up (so no disadvantage really), but if not, then they won't (hence a disadvantage).

I see it as a reason to study hard and improve your writing. The only reason they would give you hard sacs is so you're prepared for the end of year exam. The sacs across the board at my school are seemingly difficult, however it prepares us for our finals in the best way possible. Easier sacs aren't going to help you when you're confronted with difficult prompts, articles and questions in your finals.
