Are gloves provided or is that something we need to bring in to each prac?

Do we need all of this before our first practical (in the first week) or before our second practical?
And do we even have pracs in the first week? :S

last year in bio, you had to bring your own gloves if you wanted them because the rats you handle are 'clean' anyway. but if you show them you have a cut on your hands or something, they will give you some gloves lol

gloves provided in chem tho

The Biol department doesn't have enough funds to buy gloves for everyone so just grab a few extra pairs when you have your chem pracs

lol not enough funds.. seriously

i think if you go to encompass bookshop (very close to melb uni, it's on the corner of swanstan/grattan st basically) the lab coat + safety glasses are $19 together (it was labcoat for 18$ and 1$ for glasses deal)
at least it was last year, lets hope they have the same deal

if they dont have the deal, it's probably still cheaper than buying from your uni

edit: i think the deal is now 16.50, not sure if its only for monash students or what but go ahead and try

The deal is good, but do not get these classes if you have a big head! The plastic parts which connect the actual protective part of the goggle to your ear is probably going to be too short and will seriously hurt your ears after using them for a few hours.
