Difference Equation problem

t_(n+2)= t_(n+1)+ t_n  where t_(1 )=a,t_2=7 and t_5=27

The value of a is?

Just in regards to this equation, can I use this to solve:

d=  (t_b- t_a)/(b-a)

d=  (27-7)/(5-2)

d=  20/3=6.66667

7-6.66667=0.33,rounds to, a=0

This doesn’t seem right, and I’m not sure what the actual answer is, but is this method feasible?

[EDIT]

nevermind, i realised how stupid I sounded.
