What is the AN English Study Guide like?
« on: March 30, 2013, 02:14:22 pm »
Sorry, I know there are already a lot of threads on study guides, but I just want to know what's inside the AN one specifically. Do they summarise the text and give important quotes, or just tell you how to write a 10/10 essay, or both? Do they give explanations on all the different contexts?

Thanks :)

There are far too many English texts for the author to summarise each one. The book is more focused on general skills which can be applied to essays for any text.

Here is the table of contents:

Whilst the book is not specific towards your book, it is still an excellent help for VCE English and English (EAL). The study guide attempts to provide an algorithm for the pieces of prose demanded in Section A, B as well as C and does it well in my opinion. Definetly worth to buy.
