hey everyone got a practice sac we got, if anyone else has more practice sacs post them here :)

U4 AOS1 Human Resource Management Function

1. define the following terms:
a. work-life balance (1 mark)
b. motivation (1 mark)

2. Outline the manner in which effective  human resource management may help an organisation to achieve its objectives (2 marks)
3. Compare Locke's theory of motivation with that of Maslow (4 marks)
4. Choose a theory of motivation and suggest how it could be used by a hr manager to increase the overall profitability of the company (3 marks)
5. Identift and describe one strategy from the establishment phase of the employment cycle that may be conducted by a HR manager (2 marks)
6. Outline the steps involved in the selection process. Provide an example to support your answer (2 marks)
7. Distinguish between internal and external recruitment. your answer should address one advantage and one disadvantage for internal and external recruitment (4 marks)
8. Why is human resource planning an important part of employment cycle? (3 marks)
9. Identify and outline two ethical and socially responsible management issues associated with the establishment stage of the employment cycle (4 marka)

1. Discuss two positive and two negative tools that the HRM could use to motivate staff and increase productivity.
2. Define what is meant by the term 'motivation' and discuss why it is important to have motivated workers in the workplace.
3. Outline one law the HRM may need to be familiar with in order to perform his role within the organisation
4. Define: Flexitime, labour flexibility, consultants, job share, job analysis, remuneration, superannuation.
5. Distinguish between internal recruitment and external recruitment. Give two advantages and disadvantages of each.
